Past Projects are numerous; too many to list.  SCRAMNet, ADAM, DELVER (& its patent), and the IPack I/O boards are among the best of the Networking and Data Acquisition Systems, Modules, and I/O boards; college mentoring.
SCRAMNet (Systran: 92,93) included uss of Computer Aided Design techniques, VHDL, ASIC design, high-speed fiber-optic Replicated Shared Memory Networking techniques, super-mini computer peripheral I/O, et.al.  Pictured are the top and bottom of a pre-ASIC SelBUS SCRAMNet I/O Interface, a 3'x3' photopolot of the SCRAMNet+ ASIC's metal layer, and a closeup listing its creation team members, including Tom Gustin.
ADAM (SRL: 86,87) the last non-modular, complete high performance Manikin Data Acquisition System design, used 68020, assembly code, custom analog front-end hybrid, SRAM-cache, non-volatile storage.  Pictured are its creator (Tom) and Created (ADAM), an outside view,inside diagram, & DAS boards.
DELVER, and its Patent (SRL: 88,89) Modular, self-contained, unconstrained, quasi-ruggedized Violent Event Recording using all-CMOS sequential state machines. Designed to be embedded in Manikins for various types of free-flight safety testing.  Pictured are:outside view with cutaway, the Specification, the Block Diagram, an applied embedded packaging scheme, and DELVER's support equipment: the DRAPS (Data Retrieval and Playback System), and the CDU (Calibration/Diagnostic Unit).
IPacks (Systran: 94-96) First of several complete I/O product line designs based upon standardized mezzanine boards; DAS pieces.  Pictured are: 24 channel differential-input +/-10V 12-bit ADC board (with our business card for sizing) and its specification; 32 channel opto-isolated open-collector digital output board (with our business card for sizing) and its specification.
